Syatt Elevates
Syatt Elevates helps governments, park systems, foundations, community organizations, and institutions turn completed plans into places and programs people actually use, trust, and claim as their own.
The 2026 Healing Our Waters Great Lakes Conference, hosted by the Healing Our Waters–Great Lakes Coalition. The conference brings together nonprofit advocates, scientists, government officials, students, policy analysts, and environmental justice leaders. It runs two days, with plenaries, breakout sessions, field trips, and an evening reception for connecting and collaborating. Syatt brings one of our Year 3 Fresh Water Institute fellows to learn alongside the people shaping Great Lakes policy and science.
Lake Erie is our drinking water, our backyard, and the reason programs like Syatt Dives, Syatt Swims, and our Freshwater Fellows exist. Decisions about Great Lakes funding and policy shape whether communities like ours have clean water, healthy shorelines, and a seat at the table. Putting our fellow in the room with regional leaders means seeing where those decisions get made, building relationships with people doing the work, and bringing what they learn back home to Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga River.
