Syatt Elevates helps governments, park systems, foundations, community organizations, and institutions turn completed plans into places and programs people actually use, trust, and claim as their own.
An evening of good food and real conversation, co-hosted by Syatt, Open Trail Collective, and the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We're meeting at Oxbow Meadows, a project site on the river that's still taking shape. Over good food and real talk, we'll do a little placemaking and imagine what this place could become. When the people who haven't always felt welcome outdoors get to help shape a place from the start, it feels like theirs. And that's when people keep coming back.
Northeast Ohio has incredible parks, rivers, and trails. But too many people in our region still don't feel welcome in them, can't easily get to them, or don't see themselves reflected in who runs them. Changing that takes more than good intentions. It takes the people doing the work, the people being left out, and the institutions holding the keys sitting at the same table. That's the heart of placemaking.
