Our partnership with the Fresh Water Institute is rooted in a shared commitment to cultivating a culture of freshwater stewardship across Cuyahoga County. Together, we are helping to position our region, from the Cuyahoga River to Lake Erie, as a national model for how communities can engage, educate, and empower young people around water equity, environmental justice, and sustainability.

Through this collaboration, Syatt brings its expertise in experiential learning and youth leadership to support the Institute’s mission of establishing Cuyahoga County as the freshwater capital of the world

Through the Fresh Water Fellowship, we co-facilitate with Teaching Place to deliver a hands-on experience for high school sophomores and juniors. This program gives students a deep understanding of our local freshwater ecosystems, connecting classroom learning with field experiences along the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie. Our collaboration extends beyond education to strengthen community connection and safety around water.
