As co-founders of Get Black Outside, Syatt is deeply committed to increasing outdoor access and leadership opportunities for Black communities across the nation. This partnership is focused on breaking down the barriers that have historically excluded Black individuals from outdoor spaces, creating pathways for engagement, education, and empowerment. Through Get Black Outside, we aim to foster a strong connection between Black communities and the natural world, highlighting the importance of representation and inclusivity in outdoor activities.
Our collaboration has led to the development of a variety of programs and events that encourage participation in outdoor recreation, leadership training, and environmental stewardship. These initiatives are designed to be accessible and welcoming, providing participants with the tools and confidence they need to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Whether it’s through hiking, camping, or educational workshops, Get Black Outside is dedicated to making nature a space where Black voices and experiences are valued and celebrated.
