Advancing Vision Zero Through Cycling Advocacy

Our partnership with the League of American Bicyclists and Bike Cleveland is a strategic collaboration aimed at embedding cycling advocacy and safety education into our comprehensive community development model. By working closely with both the national League organization and our local Bike Cleveland partners, we have been able to develop integrated programming that promotes safe cycling practices while advocating for equitable infrastructure improvements throughout our community.

This partnership is vital in our efforts to create safer streets for all users while building cycling advocacy capacity within our participants and broader community. A key outcome has been leveraging our certified League Cycling Instructor (LCI) on staff to provide professional-level cycling education and safety training that meets national standards while addressing local infrastructure challenges.

This collaboration exemplifies our commitment to Vision Zero principles that prioritize eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries for all road users. Together, Syatt, the League, and Bike Cleveland continue to explore innovative ways to make cycling safer, more accessible, and more equitable in our region. Our joint efforts are creating a foundation for sustainable transportation advocacy and community-led safety initiatives that benefit cyclists and pedestrians alike.
